These are a few of my...
...in no specific order
Whether or not you think my interests define who or what I am makes no
difference to me. I believe it's our life experiences and how we responded to
them that mold our psyche and we can overcome the negative in our lives if we
have the strength to try. I believe the world would be a better place if people
took responsibility for their actions and stop blaming others for their life's
ills. Your life is entirely up to you....
"Monty Python and the Holy Grail"
This movie is one of my all time favorites...I can watch it over and over. I
can quote entire scenes.
For Halloween 2001 I made a very realistic Sir Gallahad costume. I also made a
costume for my dog. He was Patsy. I wore my costume to see Spamalot in December
2007.
Pyrotechnics
Do you love fireworks? I do..
Check out one of the best fireworks company I know - Phantom
Fireworks
The Washington Redskins
I have been a fan my whole life and always will be. I got it from my Dad. One
of my favorite players of all time is #55 Chris Hamburger.
1966 Ford Mustang
The first car I ever bought. I owned this car from 1977 to 1991. I learned a lot about cars by learning to
work on this car. I sold it in 1991 because after the birth of my son, it was
just sitting in my garage deteriorating and I wanted it to be owned by someone
who had the love and time to give it the attention I thought it deserved. The
young man who bought it still owns it and has taken very good care of it. I do
miss it and hope someday to own one again, maybe a convertible this time.
Grotto Pizza, Rehoboth Delaware
In my opinion, the greatest pizza on the planet. I grew up eating it because
I had relatives in Rehoboth and visited with them every summer. I like other
pizza but love Grotto's.

The Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk

Bethany Beach
The Beach - specifically Delaware beaches
Rehoboth (the home of Grotto Pizza), Bethany Beach, Fenwick Island
Having lived just outside of Washington D.C., I've been going up to these beaches my entire
life. Rehoboth feels like my second home and I feel at peace when I'm near the ocean.
One of my dreams is to have a beach home.
Thunderstorms
I love to sit on my porch and watch them, something else I got from my Dad.
Unfortunately every dog I've ever owned is scared by them.
Halloween
In my neighborhood our home is referred to as the "Halloween house"
due to my elaborate decoration. I dress up and have the kids get their treats
from a coffin.
The display has taken on a life of its own and has its own website Hollyween.
Check it out...
Christmas Lights
I love to drive around and look at Christmas lights,
I'm talking about the huge, sometimes tacky displays
The more, the better...
My Christmas lights website is a famous local reference. Check out some of my favorites next season.

Summer Time
I was born in July and lived my whole life in the Washington D.C. area. I love the
warm summer weather and going to the beach. I hope to someday move to a warmer
climate and live at or very close to the Atlantic ocean.
Cocoa
My Yorkshire Terrier/Poodle mix was my baby. She was the smartest, best dog I'll ever have.
She kept my maternal instincts in check throughout my twenties. When she passed
in 1987 I was so hurt and lost, I did not want another dog until...
Sniffy
My son begged me for a pet but I insisted on waiting until he was old enough
to take care of it. In 1999, when my son was 10, we got him Sniffy. But, as you
probably figured, he didn't take care of him and he became my buddy. I now
realize how much I missed having the companionship and unconditional love that a
dog can bring. He's a steadfast companion, a great guard dog and very
loving. I have depression and now know that what you get back from a dog
helps to relieve the stress and disappointments of life. I will never go so long
again without having a dog companion.
Grannie
The person who had the greatest influence in my life, a kindhearted, hardworking, Christian woman.
My family lived with her in her home when I was a child and she called me
"the apple of her eye". Her love for me was the love I never doubted. I don't know how I would have turned out without her...
My Son Jonathan
My only child was born in early 1989. He entered Virginia Tech in fall 2007.
When he was born, I quit my job to stay home and raise him. As a child, we were
always close and I hope as a young man our closeness continues. I love him with all my heart and am so
very proud of him. He's a smart, sensible and kind person and an exceptional human being.
I wish there were more people in the world like him..
Dancing & Live Music
Much more fun than any exercise class with all the benefits. I'm a free-style
dancer who balks at partner dance styles. When I was 18 I started hanging out
with a band that specialized in playing Led Zeppelin. I went with them to all
their gigs and was always on the dance floor. I stopped going to clubs when my
son was born and while he was little but when he was in his mid-teens I returned
to clubs with live music and dancing and now it's a habit again.

1994 Corvette Convertible
As a teen, my favorite car was a Corvette Stingray. I dreamed of someday owning a Corvette. I would be
in my 40s before this dream came true. In August 2002 I bought this car, achieving
this dream.
Some dreams turn out to be nightmares and within a year I had to rebuild the engine and so began my
love/hate relationship with this car. I have spent so much money repairing and rebuilding this car,
I'll never get my moneys worth out of it but when it's running well, it's been a pure joy to drive.
I'm ready to let go of this dream and find a more reliable vehicle though I'm
hooked on convertibles now. I'm thinking about the new Ford Mustang...
